A New Year, A New Us!
CCSNYS announces name change in 2009

After much deliberation, The Council of Community Services of New York State, Inc.s' (CCSNYS) board of directors is formally proposing to our membership that CCSNYS officially become the "New York Council of Nonprofits."

CCSNYS realizes that our current name - having served us well over the years, and certainly well known in it's own right - no longer accurately captures the mission and spirit of our organization. This proposed new name reflects a true representation of what we do in our community and where we see the exciting future of our organization, as a voice for the New York State nonprofit community! We hope you agree. We invite you to join us at our special meeting on January 26th, 2009 in Albany, NY or vote for our name change via proxy. Each organizational, corporate and citizen member gets one (1) vote.

We hope you are as excited about this new name as we are. We look forward to seeing you at the special member meeting, and to working with you as the New York Council of Nonprofits for many years to come!

Thank You and Happy Holidays,
Doug Sauer, CEO
Council of Community Services of NYS, Inc.
