“Compensation Report on State’s Community Nonprofits Released”

Albany, NY (September 21, 2009). The New York Council of Nonprofits, Inc. (NYCON) has released the “Compensation Profile of New York State Charitable Nonprofits,” a comprehensive compensation analysis of 577 New York State nonprofits, representing over 32,000 employees in 147 job titles. This report, conducted over the winter and spring of 2009, provides nonprofits, donors, foundations and government entities in New York with up-to-date, region specific information on salary and employee benefit offerings in the nonprofit sector.

“We are pleased to provide this New York State specific analysis that can be used in many ways by nonprofits and those who partner with our sector,” says Doug Sauer, CEO of the New York Council of Nonprofits, Inc. “Not only is this a tool for funders, donors and government entities who want to learn more about our sector, it also acts as an advocacy tool that highlights some of the most important jobs in our state and what those employees are receiving in compensation and benefits.”

The “Compensation Profile of New York State Charitable Nonprofits” is available for purchase online (www.nycon.org) at $40 for NYCON members and $75 for non-members.
