NYCON AND FPWA TO OFFER DENTAL COVERAGE TO NONPROFITS
New York, NY—November 6th, 2009 – The New York Council of Nonprofits, Inc. (NYCON) and the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA) are pleased to announce a partnership that will provide access to affordable dental coverage to FPWA’s network of agencies and churches and their employees.
Beginning January 1st, 2010 all members and affiliates of FPWA will have access to NYCON’s group dental program through Delta Dental. Employees of FPWA’s member organizations and group purchasing partners will have the option to choose between two affordable plans. As an additional benefit, FPWA members and group purchasing partners who enroll in a Delta Dental Plan option will also receive complimentary membership in the New York Council of Nonprofits.
“We are very pleased to be working with FPWA and the nonprofits they represent” says Valerie Venezia, Vice President of Membership & Marketing at NYCON. "Traditionally, we know that smaller nonprofits have been challenged to provide comprehensive, affordable benefits to their dedicated employees. We also know that it's even harder in the current economic climate. The partnership between NYCON and FPWA will provide organizations with options, great pricing, and personal customer service while enriching their benefits package."
“Our network of human service providers has been asking us to identify affordable benefit options for quite some time,” said Fatima Goldman, Executive Director / CEO of FPWA. “We’re excited to be able to provide this dental plan through our new partnership with NYCON, which will benefit not only our member agencies, but hundreds of churches and nonprofits who participate in our group purchasing service. Given the financial pressures that human service providers face in today’s economy, the timing of our partnership with NYCON couldn’t be better.”
For more information on the partnership, please contact Valerie Venezia, VP of Membership & Marketing at NYCON, at (800) 515-5012 ext. 121 or email vvenezia@nycon.org.
